Junk Removal in The Colony, TX
The Colony calls itself the "City by the Lake," and it stretches 23 miles along the eastern shoreline of Lake Lewisville. Its trail system includes the Shoreline Trail, which runs 3.5 miles through natural land from Stewart Creek Park to Ridgepointe Park. The city is about 16.4 miles southeast of Denton, in Denton County, and Damon serves The Colony from our Denton base.
What we haul in The Colony
- Hot Tub Removal
The city will only take a hot tub cut in half. After an electrician and a plumber disconnect it, we do the breakdown.
- Construction Debris Removal
Large loads of flooring, tile, lumber and roofing are off the city's bulk list.
- Furniture Removal
Bulk day comes twice a month on a set Monday; if the couch can't sit outside that long, we take it sooner.
- Appliance Removal
City bulk wants certified Freon-removal paperwork on appliances. We take them as they are.
- Light Demolition
Freestanding decks, pergolas and playsets torn down and hauled, so long as they aren't attached to the house.

Can the city take it?
Republic Services picks up furniture, grills, appliances, carpet and extra bags twice a month on your designated bulk Monday.
The limits:
- Up to four cubic yards, about four washing machines' worth
- Hot tubs, cabinets and fence panels have to be cut in half
- Appliances need the Freon removed by a certified technician, with paperwork attached
- No electronics, TVs, tires or large amounts of construction material

The Colony junk removal questions
The city says hot tubs have to be cut in half. Will you handle that?
Yes. Once an electrician and a plumber have disconnected power and water, we do the breakdown, lifting and hauling ourselves.
I'm replacing floors and tile. Will bulk pickup take the old stuff?
Not in large amounts. We take flooring, tile, drywall and cabinets, priced by truck space. The one thing we can't take is cement.
Can you take down an old deck by the lake house?
If it's freestanding, yes. Anything attached to the house is outside what we do, and we don't haul concrete footings.
