- We confirm the price on site, then dolly it out.
- Fridges and freezers go to recycling, where the refrigerant is recovered before the metal is scrapped.
- We sweep the spot, which usually hasn't been seen in years.
Where it ends up
Appliances are mostly metal, so they go to recycling. Refrigerators, freezers and window AC units hold refrigerant, which federal rules require to be recovered before the unit is scrapped.

Where does the old appliance end up?
At recycling where possible. Fridges and freezers hold refrigerant, which has to be recovered before the metal is scrapped.
Why can't I just set an old fridge out with the trash?
Many cities treat refrigerant appliances separately. In Denton, for example, the city schedules them as a special bulky pickup with its own fee. We haul them the same day we load them.
Can you take several appliances at once?
Yes. A washer, dryer and old fridge from a laundry-room remodel is one load, priced by the space it takes.
