How Junk Removal Pricing Works in Denton County

By Denton Valor Hauling. Published September 30, 2026. Last reviewed September 30, 2026.

Junk removal with us is priced by volume: how much space your items take up in our truck or trailer. You text 1–3 photos, we send a rough quote using our 3-tier volume pricing, and the firm price is confirmed on site before any work starts. You pay after the job is done to your satisfaction. That's the whole system. The rest of this guide explains what moves the number and how to get a quote that holds up.

Why we price by space in the truck

A load is a load, whether it's one sectional or thirty boxes of old paperwork. What a job really uses is room on the trailer and a trip to unload it, so that's what the price is built on. It keeps things simple for you, too. There's no hourly meter running while we carry things down the stairs, and there are no hidden fees added at the end.

Pricing by volume also means a small job is priced like a small job. A single couch at the curb takes up a lot less room than a full garage or an estate cleanout, and the quote reflects that.

Published volume rates

Our rough quotes use our 3-tier volume pricing. Construction debris is the one service with published rates by the load:

Construction debris: volume rates

1/4 load
$250–300
1/2 load
$500–550
Full load
$800+

Mixed loads and dense material can cost more. The firm price is confirmed on site before any work starts.

These are the ranges Denton Valor Hauling has published. Your firm price is set on site.

Those numbers apply to construction debris only: wood scraps, drywall, tile and flooring, cabinetry, siding, gutters and roofing trash. Mixed loads and dense material can cost more, because a load of broken tile weighs far more than a load of trim scraps. If you're planning a remodel cleanup, our construction debris removal service lists what we take and what we can't.

For household junk, furniture and cleanouts, we don't publish a range. Those jobs vary too much from house to house, so we quote them from your photos.

Two more services with published prices

Two other services have published prices. Each one is scoped to that service only:

  • Hot tub removal: most removals run $400–$1,000. Size and access decide where your job lands in that range, and power and water have to be disconnected before we arrive. Our hot tub removal page has the details.
  • Storage unit cleanouts: a single unit is $125+, and multiple units get a custom quote. The final price depends on how much is in the unit.

What makes a job cost more or less

These are the factors that matter most:

  • How much there is. This is the big one. More volume means more of the truck.
  • What kind of items they are. Dense material like tile fills up a trailer's weight limit long before it fills the space.
  • How easy the items are to reach. A couch in the driveway is quicker than a couch in an upstairs bedroom with a tight turn at the landing.
  • Disposal and recycling costs. Some items cost more than others to get rid of properly.
  • Labor. Cutting down a hot tub or taking apart a freestanding shed is more work than loading boxes.

And if you're active or retired Fire/EMS, law enforcement or military, we have a standing discount. Mention it when you book and it's applied to your quote.

Adding items once we're there

It happens all the time. We finish the garage and you remember the old dresser in the back bedroom. That's fine. We re-price by the added volume and confirm the new total with you before we keep going, so the number at the end is one you already agreed to.

How to get an accurate quote by text

The fastest way to a real number is a text to (940) 268-2794 with one to three photos. A few things make those photos more useful:

  1. Show the whole pile. Stand back far enough to get everything in frame. If there's more in a closet or behind the garage door, take a picture of that too.
  2. Put something in the shot for scale. A person, a door or a trash cart helps us judge size.
  3. Tell us where it is. Inside, garage, backyard or curb, plus any stairs, narrow gates or a long walk to where the truck can park.
  4. Point out anything we might not take. We don't haul hazardous waste like paints, chemicals, fuel and oils, and we can't take cement or concrete. If you're unsure about something, include it in a photo and ask.

For bigger jobs, like a whole house or a large commercial space, we'll do a free, no-obligation walkthrough on site instead. Either way, the firm price is confirmed in person before anything gets loaded. If you'd rather type it out, our quote request form works too.

How this compares to hauling it yourself

Sometimes doing it yourself makes sense. If you live inside City of Denton limits, the city picks up bulky household items at the curb when you schedule them ahead. As of September 2026, up to two items a week are included for residents at no additional fee. We wrote up what Denton's bulk trash pickup takes if you want the details.

You can also take a load to the City of Denton Landfill at 1527 S. Mayhill Rd. yourself. As of September 2026, it's open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the weigh station takes cards and tap-to-pay only, every load has to be tarped or tied down, and fees apply. Other towns in the county have their own haulers and rules, and our Denton County service area page links to each one we serve.

Where we come in is the lifting, the loading, the trip and the sorting. We sort every load: usable items go to local charities, recyclables get recycled, and the rest goes to the landfill. We sweep up before we leave.

Paying and scheduling

You pay after the job is done to your satisfaction. We take major credit cards, digital payments, cash and check.

Same-day service is sometimes possible and scheduling is flexible, but same-day isn't always available. Damon, who owns the company, works fire shifts and has a family. Texting early gives you the best shot at the day you want.

What customers say about the pricing:

Honest and upfront pricing. no games. Easy to schedule and was on time with status updates before he showed up. Was amazed at how quick it was completed. 10/10

Great guys who knocked it out of the park for me! They showed up when they said they would, gave me a fair price, and competed the job on the spot. Can’t recommend them enough!
